The Washington Bar Association has partnered with the Greater Washington Urban League to present a Health and Wellness Back 2 School Festival. We will need book bags, pencils, pens, notebooks, and paper to give to children. You may drop off your donations to 1775 K Street, NW, Washington, DC 20006, by August 10, 2017.  If you are unable to purchase items, you may use the link below to make a donation and we will purchase the items for you.  Thank you in advance for supporting our community.

Criteria and Requirements for Hall of Fame Nominations
The Board of Directors of the Washington Bar Association has adopted the following criteria and requirements for the submission of names to be considered for induction into its Hall of Fame:

CRITERIA

The criteria for nomination are that the individual:

(1) Must be a member of the Washington Bar Association;

(2) Has practiced law for at least 25 years, and

(3) Has made significant contributions to the cause for equal justice under law and to the profession.

Passing of Judge William E. Fowler

The board of directors, officers and members of the Washington Bar Association mourn the passing of the late Judge William E. Fowler.  Judge Fowler was a federal administrative law judge.  He was inducted into the Washington Bar Association's Hall of Fame in 2008.

Judge Fowler's obituary notice appeared in yesterday's Washington Post.
